were interested in many additional aspects of sexual functioning, but the
participants in this study patiently answered many questions and could not
be imposed upon further. Nonetheless, we believe that our questions did characterize
the quality of sexual relations, and that changes in the responses reflected
changes in the quality of sexual relations. For instance, we feel certain
that most women would describe increases in orgasm frequency and strength
and decreases in vaginal dryness as positive changes in the quality of sexual
